    The core of our herd

We started with four does in 2001, purchased three additional does from Texas and and used them as the core of our breeding stock.  We have added several of the does we have bred to build the flock to 12 breeding does.  Fortunately, we have had 100% coverage of our does for the three years that we have been breeding.  In selecting does, we look for fineness and uniformity in their hair as well as good style and character.  We like strong bodies with good conformation.  We are constantly striving to upgrade our herd and feel fortunate to use the quality does from our own breeding work to do so.
